Privacy Policy

Arohalink NZ Limited (“we”, “our” or “Arohalink”) takes your privacy seriously. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Privacy Act 2020 (NZ) and the Information Privacy Principles.
1. What we collect
- Account information: name, email, phone, and the role you signed up as.
- Identity & verification: government-issued ID, right-to-work documents, qualifications, and references.
- Profile information: experience, availability, languages, and behavioural profile information you choose to share.
- Usage information: pages you visit, features you use, and device information.
- Care information (where relevant): care plans, allergies, medications and preferences entered by clients, families or organisations.
2. How we use it
- To provide the platform — matching, contracts, timesheets, payments, communication.
- To verify identity and run the standard checks required for your region.
- To keep the platform safe — fraud prevention, abuse detection, dispute resolution.
- To comply with legal obligations under the Privacy Act 2020 (NZ) and the Information Privacy Principles.
3. How we share it
We share your information only with people and organisations you have consented to: organisations you have applied to or work with, families who have engaged you, and approved sub-processors who help us run the platform (hosting, email, identity verification). We do not sell your data.
4. Where it lives
Aotearoa New Zealand customer data is hosted in-region. We use approved sub-processors who meet our security standards. Cross-border transfers happen only with explicit consent or where the law allows.
5. Your choices
- Access your data: request a copy at any time via your account or by emailing support@arohalink.com.
- Correct your data: edit your profile, or ask us to update something you cannot change yourself.
- Delete your data: request deletion subject to legal retention obligations (e.g. tax records).
- Revoke consent: per-organisation, at any time, in your account.
6. Behavioural profile information
As a worker, you can choose to build a behavioural profile to help with matching. Sharing is opt-in per organisation and revocable at any time. You can preview exactly what an organisation sees.
7. Children
Arohalink is not directed at people under 16. If you believe a minor has signed up, contact support@arohalink.com.

10. Changes to this policy
