Terms of Service
Effective 29 April 2026
These Terms govern your use of Arohalink provided by Arohalink NZ Limited. By creating an account, you agree to these Terms.
1. Who can use the platform
You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter a binding contract under the law of Aotearoa New Zealand. Workers must hold the right to work in their region.
2. Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You agree to provide accurate information and to update it when it changes.
3. The role of Arohalink
Arohalink is a platform that connects workers and organisations. Where the platform issues a contract on your behalf, the underlying engagement is between the worker and the organisation. Arohalink provides verification, payment processing, dispute resolution and audit trails — but the work itself is performed under that engagement.
4. Fees
Use of Arohalink for workers is free. Organisations and agencies pay a monthly subscription plus a small platform fee on each placement. Fees and applicable GST are shown before any payment is taken. See Pricing.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the platform for unlawful, harmful or fraudulent activity.
- Interfere with the platform’s operation or security.
- Bypass Arohalink to avoid fees or anti-abuse measures.
- Misrepresent your identity, qualifications or right to work.
See our Acceptable Use Policy for the full list.
6. Reliability, reviews and disputes
Both workers and organisations can leave reviews after completed shifts. Reliability incidents may be disputed within 48 hours, with both sides invited to provide evidence. Arohalink resolves disputes acting reasonably.
7. Intellectual property
The platform and its content (excluding user submissions) are owned by Arohalink NZ Limited. You retain ownership of content you submit and grant Arohalink a licence to use it to operate the platform.
8. Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach, abuse, or to protect the platform.
9. Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by the law of Aotearoa New Zealand, our liability for any claim arising from these Terms is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. The courts there have exclusive jurisdiction.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will give reasonable notice of material changes.
